Disclaimer

Listening to your body is a very important aspect of yoga. Please don’t do anything that doesn’t feel right. If you experience any pain or discomfort throughout the practice, it is advised to withdraw from the activity or modify appropriately so that you find comfort. 

By participating in any online private class, live streaming classes or pre-recorded classes hosted by Balance Rituals Yoga / Christina Phillips, you are performing them at your own risk. You should understand that when participating in any exercise or exercise class, there is the possibility of physical injury. If you engage in this exercise, you agree that you do so off your own accord and Christina Phillips / Balance Rituals Yoga is not responsible for any injury while accessing this service. You are solely responsible for evaluating and assessing your health and wellbeing. 

You understand that, from time to time instructors may suggest physical adjustments or the use of equipment and it is your sole responsibility to determine if any such suggested adjustment or equipment is appropriate for your level of ability and physical and mental condition. You expressly waive and release any claim that you may have at any time for injury of any kind against Balance Rituals Yoga, or any person or entity involved with Balance Rituals Yoga

Terms & Conditions

Please read the following terms carefully. By participating in any class provided by Christina Phillips (the Teacher) trading as Balance Rituals Yoga you consent to, and agree to release the Teacher from liability according to these terms. Unless the Teacher notifies you otherwise, this waiver and release will apply to all classes undertaken by you with the Teacher.

 

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT 

  • you are over 18 years of age, 

  • you understand that the classes are a form of physical activity and that there are inherent risks in undertaking any form of physical exercise,

  • you have disclosed, or will disclose to the teacher prior to the class commencing, any pre-existing conditions that may place you at a higher risk of injury or inhibit your ability to participate in a class, this includes, but is not limited to:

  • injuries, pain or recent surgery,

  • pregnancy or if you have recently given birth, or

  • respiratory or heart conditions or high blood pressure

  • you will notify the Teacher if you experience any pain throughout the class and will immediately stop participating in the class if requested by the Teacher to do so,

  • based on information you provide, the Teacher may decide not to allow you to participate in a class, or may require you to provide a medical certificate affirming that you are able to participate in a class before allowing you to join, in the Teacher’s sole discretion, 

  • recommendations or instruction provided by the Teacher may not be tailored for your particular skill or ability level and it is your responsibility to assess whether you are able or want to participate in all or part of a class, 

  • you are solely responsible for ensuring that your physical environment is suitable for your participation in any class, and 

  • classes may be recorded by the Teacher for quality control, as well as promotional purposes. If you do not consent to the Teacher using video or still images taken during the class for promotional purposes, please notify the Teacher in writing.

 

 

Setting up your yoga space

When participating in Balance Rituals Yoga ensure you always:

o Check that you have sufficient space to practice

o Check there are no trip/slip hazards

o Check there are no objects you may fall on or come in contact with

o Check there are no sharp objects or hot surfaces near by

o Ensure you have sufficient lighting

o Ensure your camera/screen and other electrical appliances, including cables, are on a levelled surface and not in your training space causing a trip hazard

o Ensure the room has sufficient ventilation

o Ensure you have water to keep hydrated

o Remember to seek medical advice before training if you have any existing injuries or other medical conditions

o Ensure all household members are aware of the training and avoid entering the space.

Safety Disclaimer

Always consult physician or health care professional before participating/performing exercise or any other fitness class for your own safety. Consulting a health care professional is advised to determine if this is right for your physical condition and needs. By participating in the exercises, you are performing them at your own risk. You should understand that when participating in any exercise or exercise class, there is the possibility of physical injury. If you engage in this exercise, you agree that you do so off your own accord i.e. voluntarily participating in these activities, assume all risk of injury to yourself, and agree to release and discharge Balance Rituals Yoga from any and all losses, liabilities, injuries or damages resulting from any and all claims. 

If you are pregnant or have a medical condition that could be made worse by a change in your physical activity, including high blood pressure, heart condition, or a bone or joint problem, please see your doctor/healthcare practitioner before participating in a yoga class.  

Legal

To the extent permitted at law, you release and hold the Teacher (and where applicable its, directors, employees and representatives) harmless from any liability, cost, expense, damages or claims (including claims of negligence) arising from or which may be suffered or incurred in connection with your participation in any classes provided by the Teacher.

All content provided in the online virtual studio classes, including YouTube and social media belongs to Balance Rituals Yoga. Balance Rituals Yoga website (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) is designed to provide you with live online & recorded videos of yoga classes, including foundational moves, strength & stretch routines, and meditation practices. 

The Website aims to share knowledge, bringing together a community of people that are interested in yoga. This Website is not directed to persons under eighteen (18) years of age. The Website is owned by Balance Rituals Yoga.
